I confess: I own both the original and the expanded 5th Anniversary editions of this book. Remember that paragraph on the main Food, Drink and Romance page where I broke down and looked at someone else's ideas to spark my own? This was the book that did it. This little godsend includes essential concepts of romance, specific recommendations for things to do, ways to adapt about any suggestion to your own style and situation, and numerous resources, from catalogs to 800 numbers.
The 1001 ways (actually 1297, but who's counting?) are divided by general category and include pretty much everyone and dozens of topics in its scope. If you can't find what you need here, it will even make suggestions for where you might find it. My suggestion would be to look in the sequel.
The revised edition includes updates for time-sensitive or outdated items as well as a bonus 101 additional ways to be romantic.
1001 Ways to be Romantic has well over a million copies in print, and for good reason. It's a great resource. Go get it.
